Community rallies to give little girl with a brain tumour some great memories

Lilee-Jean and her dad in the snow. Submitted

Lilee-Jean Putt is only two years old.

She is battling a brain tumour and was diagnosed when she was only 10 months old. Doctors now say there is nothing else they can do for her, and say it is unlikely she will make it to her third birthday in early December.

We originally featured the story of Lilee-Jean when her father’s band released a song on iTunes to raise money for the family.

Watch that story here:

Now the communities of Abbotsford and Chilliwack are rallying to give Lilee-Jean lots of great memories, and this weekend they celebrated Christmas.

She has been opening presents and the Chilliwack Chiefs hockey team even brought in two truckloads of snow so that Lilee-Jean could have a snowball fight.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

Earlier this week people dressed up in Halloween costumes and handed out candy so that she could trick or treat.

The family says they are spending as much time together as possible.
