Vancouver police said the Celebration of Light fireworks crowd was well-behaved and good natured except for some alcohol-related disturbances.

Police said there were 612 liquor pour-outs, 35 liquor seizures and around 150 tickets issued.

While there were eight weapons seizures, police said there were no incidents of note.

Twenty-two people were arrested, mostly for being intoxicated in public and breaching the peace.

Officers focused on SkyTrain stations and the downtown area throughout the night.

Police estimate that between 250,000 to 300,000 people gathered downtown to watch the fireworks, a smaller crowd than expected.

Crews worked to clean-up after the crowds Sunday morning.
