WINNIPEG – A massive party in the park featuring an award winning country band drew thousands to Assiniboine Park Friday night.
Manitoba’s very own ‘Doc Walker’ took the stage at the Lyric Theatre in front of a crowd of more than 10,000 fans as part of the park’s 2013 Summer Music Entertainment Series.
The series included concerts with several acts throughout the summer. It will continue into August with the popular ‘Movies in the Park’.
‘Doc Walker’ has won several Canadian Country Music Awards and Junos since forming more than a decade ago. The Portage la Prairie band has also netted multiple top-10 and top-5 hits on Canadian radio.
