DARTMOUTH – A head-on collision in Dartmouth has claimed the life of a 71-year-old man.
Halifax Regional Police responded to the vehicle accident on Main St., near Fader St., at approximately 4:30 Monday afternoon.
There was one occupant in each of the two vehicles.
The 71-year-old driver of one of the vehicles was transported to hospital with serious injuries later died.
A 17-year old-male in the other vehicle was taken to hospital for treatment and released.
A section of Main St. was closed to traffic until 8 p.m., while the Halifax Regional Police Accident Investigation Unit investigated the crash.
The police investigation is ongoing.
The name of the victim has not been released.
