UPDATE: Aerial video shows ice shove at Twin Lakes Beach

TWIN LAKES BEACH, Man. – Ice boulders stopped inches away from buildings in Twin Lakes Beach, leaving property owners relieved but nervous on Wednesday morning.

High winds on Tuesday pushed huge chunks of ice up onto the Lake Manitoba beach as people watched from their homes and cottages.

Tension was high as properties in the area were heavily damaged by flooding in 2011.

Twin Lakes Beach owners had watched the destruction wrought by ice at Ochre Beach on Dauphin Lake on Friday. More than two dozen homes were damaged at Ochre Beach, with many completely destroyed.
