16×9 will host a live blog Friday night from 8-11 p.m. ET to discuss why some North Americans are joining terrorist organizations abroad, and what this means for the security of Canadians.
Joining the discussion is Omar Hammami, an American jihadist in Somalia, who is also on the FBI’s Top Ten Most Wanted Terrorists list.
Other bloggers include Clinton Watts, a former FBI agent who blogs on counterterrorism; Mubin Shaikh, a former radical who infiltrated the Toronto 18 and is now an expert in radicalization and extremism; and Mohamed Abdullahi Mohamed, a Somali-Canadian who once fought alongside Al-Shabaab.
