The body of a missing Vancouver man has been found.
Police say the body of missing 29-year-old Joel Arkinson was found on Mitchell Island on Tuesday afternoon.
The Vancouver resident had not been seen or heard from since June 1.
Police say his death is not suspicious and the investigation has now been turned over to the BC Coroners Service.
At the time of the missing person’s report, police said it was out of character for Arkinson to be out of contact with friends or family. He reportedly told his family when he left on June 1 that he intended to go camping in a tent but the plans were not confirmed.
