WINNIPEG – Winnipeg Blue Bombers receiver Weston Dressler has been rewarded for his outstanding performance in the club’s season opening victory.

Dressler, 31, was named a Shaw CFL Top Performer Of The Week. Dressler scored a pair of touchdowns in the span of a less than a minute in helping the Bombers defeat the Saskatchewan Roughriders on Canada Day. Dressler’s 87 yard touchdown catch was the longest of his illustrious CFL career.

Dressler finished the game with six receptions for 124 yards with two touchdowns. He also rushed the ball once for another 22 yards. He’s now topped the century mark in receiving yards in both of the last two games against his former team.

Ottawa RedBlacks wide receiver Diontae Spencer and quarterback Trevor Harris were the other top performers for week number two.
