A 40-year-old man is recovering from a stab wound after he says a youth stabbed him with a knife Sunday evening in Dartmouth.
Police say they responded to a reported stabbing at about 6:25 p.m. Sunday in the area of Thistle Street and Wyse Road.
On arrival, they found a 40-year-old man with a stab wound to his lower abdomen.

Officers say the man described being surrounded by a group of seven teens who asked for cigarettes. He said one of the teens then stabbed him with a knife.
Police say the victim’s backpack was taken as the teens left the area.
Multiple units responded but could not locate the suspects.
The Integrated General Investigative Section is investigating.
