Halifax Regional Police are reporting that a 17-year-old male checked himself into the hospital after apparently shooting himself in his leg on Wednesday night.
The teen arrived at the QEII hospital shortly after 10:30 p.m. where he was treated and then released from the hospital.

According to police, the injuries appeared to have been accidental and self-inflicted.
The man was held by police overnight and is scheduled to appear in court on Thursday to face various firearms offences.
