HAMILTON – Police say a Hamilton doctor accused of sexually assaulting two female patients is now facing five additional charges.
They say the investigation began in August 2016 when a woman alleged she had been sexually assaulted by her doctor in June.
Investigators say they also received a report from a second female complainant who alleged she had been sexually assaulted by the same doctor in July 2016.
Dr. Pierre Picard, 48, was charged with two counts of sexual assault on Nov. 30.
Investigators say three more female complainants have come forward and Picard was arrested on Dec. 14 and charged with five new counts of sexual assault.
All of the offences are alleged to have occurred between 2015 and 2016.
