WATCH: ‘The Night Before Christmas’ read by Montreal Canadiens players

Twas the night before Christmas (well, not quite yet) and Montreal Canadiens players are sitting down to read the iconic holiday novel, The Night Before Christmas.

Decked out in ugly Christmas sweaters, scarves and hats with festive jingle bells on them — adorned with the iconic CH, of course — the players take turns reading the classic children’s book.

Right-winger Brendan Gallagher starts off the tale before captain Max Pacioretty takes over, reading in French.

The players take turns reading the story in both English and French as the book’s pictures flash behind them.

The video ends with star goalie Carey Price reading the last line: “Merry Christmas to all, and to all a good night,” before closing the book and hugging it close as Santa’s jolly laugh is heard in the background.
