Winnipeg Jets Mark Scheifele honoured by NHL

WINNIPEG – Winnipeg Jets forward Mark Scheifele has been named the NHL’s Second Star of the Week after picking up six points in four games.

Scheifele scored three goals during that span including two in Winnipeg’s 8-2 win over the Dallas Stars on Nov. 8. He also had two assists in the game to finish the night with four points.

The 23-year-old capped off the week by netting the deciding goal in Sunday’s 3-2 shootout win over the Los Angeles Kings.

Scheifele is currently tied with Dallas’ Tyler Seguin for the league lead in points. Scheifele has put up 10 goals and 10 assists in 17 games this season.

Boston Bruins goalie Tuukka Rask and Nashville Predators goalie Pekka Rinne round out the NHL’s Three Stars of the Week.
