Marilyn Manson releases violent, Donald Trump-inspired ‘Say10’ video

WARNING: Graphic imagery in the above video

Shock rocker Marilyn Manson had been relatively silent during the 2016 U.S. presidential election, but now he’s making his voice heard — and then some.

Manson released a clip of his new song, Say10 (say it out loud and you’ll understand its meaning), and it depicts the former Goth king ripping pages out of the Bible and brandishing a bloody knife.

The Say10 video clip, above, ends with a decapitated body in a very Donald Trump-like business suit lying in a puddle of its own blood. Coupled with the song’s title, the imagery seems to suggest that the Republican presidential nominee is Satan incarnate.

“You say God/And I say Satan,” screams Manson.

While the rocker doesn’t explicitly specify the body is Trump’s, he doesn’t say it isn’t, either.

“Right now we’re in such a state of confusion when it comes to religion, politics, sexuality, and how they all tie together, and it’s being turned into a circus and a sideshow — and that’s something that I’ve been described as a ringleader of,” said Manson to The Daily Beast. “It seems like a time for me as an artist, and as an American artist, to make something that causes a new set of questions to arise that aren’t simply statements.”

Say10 is the title track off of his upcoming LP, and it’ll be released in February 2017.
