UPDATE: Ontario man charged in Warman, Sask. child luring case
RCMP in Saskatchewan launched an investigation Wednesday after receiving a complaint about a possible inappropriate conversation a youth had with an adult on social media.
Further investigation revealed other youth at Warman Community Middle School may have also engaged in conversations with the same man from another province.

No complaints of physical contact between the person of interest and children in the community have been received by police.
The investigation is ongoing and no charges have been laid at this time.
RCMP are working with the Prairie Spirit School Division to ensure all parents are aware of the incident and can take time to speak with their children.
“The big message is this: the Internet can be a dangerous place. Parents must be cognizant of the risks your children may face online and you must monitor your child’s online activity,” Staff Sgt. Scott Lambie, provincial coordinator of the Saskatchewan Internet Child Exploitation (ICE) unit, said.
“It is important for parents to have regular conversations with their children about what inappropriate online conversation and behavior is.”

Lambie said these types of conversations can be difficult and there are valuable resources on Cybertip.ca for parents and youth.
