Edmonton police have identified the victim of a deadly shooting in the city’s northwest on Friday as 30-year-old Phu Phan.

They said results of an autopsy released Tuesday revealed Phan died from multiple gunshot wounds.

Officers were called to a duplex near 171 Avenue and 126 Street – in the community of Rapperswill – at around 7:30 a.m. Friday.

A witness told Global News the victim was shot in his truck and was pulled out of the vehicle after he was shot.

Police reiterated a plea for information from the public Tuesday. They said they are also looking into a small blue SUV or minivan that was seen leaving the scene immediately after the shooting, however, they did not have further details about the vehicle.

Police said Phan’s death is Edmonton’s 35th homicide of 2016.
