Flin Flon, Manitoba got an early taste of winter Tuesday and Wednesday that left piles of snow behind, and more could be on the way. Submitted pictures show snow banks and accumulations of the white stuff across the city.
A number of winter storm warning remain in the area:
- Lynn Lake – Leaf Rapids – Pukatawagan
- Thompson – Nelson House – Split Lake
- Flin Flon – Cranberry Portage – Snow Lake
By Thursday night snowfall amounts are expected to be anywhere between 25 to 50 centimeters. Final accumulations will vary because of melting due to the warm ground, so it’s not expected to stick around.
Winds are also expected to gust up to 80 kilometres/hour in the area.
