Christine Wood, 21, has been missing for two weeks and her family made a plea for help Friday.
Wood was in Winnipeg with her parents from Oxford House First Nation to accompany a family member to a medical appointment. She never came back to her hotel after going out for the night on August 19.
According to a news release from the Canadian Centre for Child Protection, Wood was last seen in the Polo Park area and is known to frequent the Osborne Village area. She is described as 5’6″ with an average build and shoulder length dark brown hair. She maybe carrying a white purse.
“As people head into the long weekend, we are asking them to keep Christine at top of mind. We need the public to help us find her – any information, no matter how small, could be that piece of information that helps bring her home to her family,” said Christy Dzikowicz, Director of Missing Children Services with Canadian Centre for Child Protection.
Anyone with information can reach out to the Winnipeg Police Missing Persons Unit at 1-204-986-6250.
