The man charged with second-degree murder in the death of nine-month-old Austin Wright appeared in court Monday.

Tyler Hogan appeared briefly by closed-circuit television (CCTV).
The case was adjourned until Wednesday, when a bail hearing is expected to be held in the Court of Queen’s Bench.
An out of town judge will preside over the hearing as Hogan has family ties to a retired Lethbridge judge.

Wright died in hospital in April after he was found at home suffering cardiac arrest.
An autopsy showed the toddler died of blunt force trauma not consistent with a fall.
Hogan was arrested on July 27.
