Glenn Kraemer Bauman has been charged with two counts of first-degree murder in connection with the 2011 disappearance of Linda Daniel and her daughter Cheyenne Daniel.

Bauman was also charged with two counts of offering indignity to a body.

He was arrested in Valleyview, Alta. on Friday, Aug. 19 on a Canada-wide warrant. Bauman was then taken back to the Waterloo region to appear in court in Ontario.

RCMP said investigators discovered Bauman was in a common-law relationship with Linda Daniel when she disappeared. She was 47 and her daughter was 13 when they were last seen in 2011. Their last known address was in Wellesley Township.

Waterloo police said they were notified by family in December 2015 that neither Linda nor Cheyenne had been seen or heard from since July 2011. RCMP started an investigation and determined it was likely foul play was involved.
