Rain in some areas of Saskatchewan in the past week hasn’t slowed down the harvest.
Saskatchewan Agriculture reported Thursday that nine per cent of the 2016 crop is combined, slightly ahead of the five-year average of eight per cent for this time of year.

Farmers in the southeast are furthest ahead, with 19 per cent of the crop in the bin, while the northeast and northwest regions are at three per cent.
According to the weekly crop report, 83 per cent of the winter wheat has been combined, along with 20 per cent of fall rye, 41 per cent of field peas, 10 per cent of barley, five per cent of mustard, four per cent of spring wheat, three per cent of durum and two per cent of canola.
Another 30 per cent of canola has been swathed, along with 12 per cent of the mustard crop.

Many fields remain soft, with field access an issue in some areas.
The majority of crop damage in the past week was caused by excessive moisture, strong winds, lodging and diseases.
