A 19-year-old Calgary man has been charged in relation to an attack that left an 83-year-old man seriously injured in a downtown alley almost two weeks ago. Police credit members of the public for their “critical assistance” in the investigation.
The victim was discovered suffering from multiple traumatic injuries in the 100 block of 2 Avenue S.E., just south of the Centre Street Bridge, at around 8:30 a.m. July 8. He remained in hospital in serious, stable condition Wednesday.
