Woman dead, man facing second degree murder charge in St. Jean Baptiste

A 54-year-old woman was found dead and a 56-year-old man is now facing a second degree murder charge.

Morris RCMP responded to an apartment on Caron Street in St Jean Baptiste, Manitoba after reports of a possible homicide.

The body of a female resident was found inside and Danny Vanoosten was arrested at the scene. He was charged with second degree murder.

Police said the suspect is known to the victim but are not releasing any further details.
