63% of Winnipeggers approve Brian Bowman’s performance as mayor: poll

WINNIPEG — More than a year and a half since he was voted into office, Mayor Brian Bowman is sitting at an approval rating of more than 60 per cent among Winnipeggers.

That’s according to a new Mainstreet Research/Postmedia poll that found 63 per cent of respondents approved Bowman’s performance as mayor. The poll also said 27 per cent disapproved of the job Bowman is doing and 10 per cent were undecided.

The poll had a margin of error of +/-3.46%.

Bowman ran on a promise of having an open and transparent municipal government and was elected as mayor in October 2014.
