It turns out Vielma worked at Orlando’s Wizarding World of Harry Potter, located at Universal Studios theme park.
This didn’t escape Harry Potter author and creator J.K. Rowling, who posted a heartbroken tweet about his death.
The world-famous author said she “can’t stop crying.”
According to the Orlando Sentinel, Vielma worked on the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride.
“He was a true friend,” co-worker Olga Glomba wrote in an email to the Sentinel. “A funny, sweet, nerdy guy without a mean side. He just wanted to make people smile.”
Theme-park attendees actually remembered Vielma for his kindness, and were quick to post their thoughts on Twitter.
Universal Orlando released a statement Monday morning about Vielma’s death.
