Calgary police are investigating after a body was discovered in the community of Crescent Heights on Wednesday.
Officers were called to a grassy area on the hill northwest of the Centre Street Bridge at around 8 a.m. by a passerby who made the grisly discovery.
Police cordoned off the area and called in the medical examiner and homicide unit to investigate.
Officers confirmed Wednesday the death is considered suspicious.
An autopsy is scheduled for Thursday.
