Eleven Calgary eateries have been named on a list of the 100 best outdoor dining restaurants in Canada in 2016.
The list from online restaurant reservation site OpenTable Canada, released on Wednesday, was compiled using information from more than 275,000 reviews for approximately 1,700 restaurants submitted by verified diners – and was released with patio season in mind.
“Outdoor dining has become a staple in Canada’s highly anticipated patio season, with locals and tourists on the search for the next lush landscape or urban oasis to enjoy the warm weather and a memorable dining experience,” OpenTable spokesperson Ziv Schierau said in a news release.

- Charbar
- Cibo
- Cilantro
- The Living Room Restaurant
- Redwater Rustic Grille
- River Café
- Rouge
- Scopa Neighbourhood Italian
- Symons Roadhouse
Two restaurants in Bragg Creek, Alta. were named on the list, including The Bavarian Inn Restaurant and Italian Farmhouse Restaurant & Bar. The Iron Goat Pub and Grill in Canmore, Alta. was also among honorees, as was Juniper Bistro in Banff, Alta.
