Calgary police have laid charges in the death of a man found in medical distress in a southeast home on Sunday.

Officers were called to a home in the 200 block of Forest Road S.E. at around 3:30 p.m. for reports of an altercation.

When they arrived, investigators discovered a man in his 30s in medical distress. He was rushed to hospital where he later died.

On Tuesday, police identified the victim as 36-year-old Noel Francis Delorme of Calgary.

Investigators said Delorme had been drinking with a group of people at the home when he became involved in a fight. His cause of death isn’t being released.

Police took three men from the residence in for questioning.

On Tuesday, police confirmed Justin Woodside, 39, of Calgary, had been charged with manslaughter.

Woodside appeared in court on Tuesday. He remains in custody and is scheduled to return to court on June 2.
