Twenty One Pilots, The Lumineers, Vance Joy and AWOLNATION are among the artists announced for the eighth annual SONiC BOOM Alternative Music Festival.
More than 16 bands will perform over the two-day festival on September 3 and 4 in Edmonton’s Borden Park. The festival moved to the park across the street from Northlands last year, due to demand for a more comfortable venue.

Tickets go on sale to the general public on Friday, June 10 at 10 a.m. A presale will run from 10 a.m. on Monday, June 6 to 10 p.m. on Thursday, June 9.
Prices are $180 for a general admission weekend pass and $230 for a VIP weekend pass. Children under five are free, as long as they are with a parent or guardian.

Radio station Sonic 102.9 FM launched the rock festival in 2008. Previous headliners have included Linkin Park, Blink 182, Ellie Goulding, and Tenacious D.
