For one young woman with Down syndrome, being able to attend the Selena Gomez concert was a dream come true. However, due to a low income, Angelica Finney had been unable to buy a ticket to the show at Saskatoon’s SaskTel Centre.
A local radio station, C95, heard her story and stepped up by giving her a pair of tickets to the show on Thursday. They also arranged for Finney to partake in an exclusive meet and greet with the celebrity singer.
“As most young adult special needs people, sometimes things are a bit tight, and things like Selena Gomez tickets are an outright luxury… It would how she says … Rock her world!”

The Pattons request struck a chord with C95 which reached out to the promoter to see what they could do to make Finney’s dream a reality.
“Seeing Angelica’s reaction when she received the news brought joy to all of our faces. It’s in moments like this, you can’t help but smile knowing you made a big difference in someone’s life,” said C95’s program director Shyla Williams.
Gomez’s next stop on her tour is in Winnipeg at MTS Centre Friday.
