TORONTO — The Toronto Zoo is once again asking for help in naming one of its youngest residents – this time a two-month-old Indian rhinoceros.
Three of the rhino calf’s caretakers have each suggested a name, which are now put to a public vote.
He’ll be named Nandu, meaning one who is cheerful and happy; Kaziranga, after a national park in India that hosts two-thirds of the world’s great one-horned rhinoceros; or Vihaan, which means morning or dawn.

People can cast their votes on the zoo’s website until noon on May 17.
The calf was born on Feb. 17 and now weighs 400 pounds.
The Toronto Zoo says he gains approximately five pounds per day, loves socializing with his mother and keepers, and loves his daily showers.
Ealier this year, the public was asked to weigh in on names for the zoo’s two panda cubs.
The winning names were Jia Panpan, meaning Canadian Hope, and Jia Yueyue, meaning Canadian Joy.
