Winnipeg Blue Bombers add NFLers ahead of mini-camp

WINNIPEG – Two former NFLers will join the Winnipeg Blue Bombers’ offence only mini-camp when it starts Monday.

The team has signed offensive lineman Aundrey Walker and receiver Kris Adams. Both players are Americans.

Adams has two catches for 26 yards in three career NFL games – all of them with the Indianapolis Colts. The 28-year-old broke into the NFL in 2011 by signing with the Chicago Bears as an undrafted free agent. Adams has also spent time with the St. Louis Rams, Minnesota Vikings and New York Giants.

Walker spent last season on the Miami Dolphins practice roster after signing with them as a free agent.

The Bombers will hold five practices at Investors Group Field over the next three days to allow players to familiarize themselves with newly named offensive coordinator Paul LaPolice’s playbook.
