Edmonton police identify man found dead in alley near Alberta Avenue, say he was murdered

EDMONTON – The Edmonton Police Service says an autopsy has determined that a man found dead in an alley in the Alberta Avenue area on Friday, was stabbed to death.

Officers were called to an area near 116 Avenue and 97 Street at about 11:30 p.m. on April 8 after a passerby found a dead body.

 The autopsy was performed on Tuesday and police have identified the victim as 42-year-old Adrian Stanley Redcrow.

Homicide investigators are still looking to speak with anyone who may have been in the area on Friday night.

Police said Redcrow’s death is the city’s 14th homicide of 2016.
