Man from Sask. First Nation charged with sexual assault

A man from a Saskatchewan First Nation is facing sexual assault charges. RCMP confirmed Tuesday that they have charged the man from the Beardy’s & Okemasis First Nation.

He is also facing charges of sexual interference and sexual exploitation.

Residents from the First Nation made Global News aware of a situation of sexual misconduct taking place at the local elementary school.

Mounties are not saying whether the man’s charges are related to claims made by community members.

School principal Andrew Debray is also not confirming whether the man worked at the school, only saying the school is working with authorities.
