Police investigating Saskatoon’s third homicide of 2016

SASKATOON – Police are investigating Saskatoon’s third homicide of 2016. Officers were called to an apartment in the 100-block of Avenue O South around 1 p.m. Wednesday for a report of an injured person.

A 24-year-old man was found with life-threatening injuries.

He died from his injuries Thursday morning. His name is not being released by police at this time at the request of his family.

An autopsy is scheduled for Monday.

No arrests have been made.

The investigation is being headed up by the major crime unit, with help from the forensic identification, targeted enforcement and guns and gangs units.
