WINNIPEG — Be prepared to shell out big bucks to see big hockey names this fall.

Winnipeg Jets owner Mark Chipman told 680 CJOB a seat to the Heritage Classic between his team and the Edmonton Oilers at Investors Group Field on Oct. 23 could cost an average of $600. The price includes a ticket to both the outdoor alumni and NHL games.

“That number wouldn’t be far off,” Chipman said. “But there will be tickets a lot less than that as well.”

To compare, tickets to Minnesota’s outdoor Stadium Series two weeks ago ranged from $109 to $449 US. The game between the Minnesota Wild and Chicago Blackhawks attracted 50,426 fans.

Jets season ticket holders will get the first crack at seats. It’s not yet known when tickets will go on sale.
