A missed draw with last rock in the tenth end of the semifinal is why Jennifer Jones and her Team Canada rink weren’t in the Scotties Tournament of Hearts final but Jones wasn’t about to let it happen again in Sunday’s Bronze medal game. With her final throw in the 10th end Jones made a clutch draw to the four foot with only inches to spare to defeat Manitoba’s Kerri Einarson in Grand Prairie.

Breaking news from Canada and around the world sent to your email, as it happens.

In a rematch of the 2015 Manitoba Scotties final Jones and her foursome pulled out an 8-7 victory. Jones scored deuces in the first, fourth and eighth ends.

Einarson stole a single point in the third end and took a 5-4 lead after scoring three in the fifth end. Manitoba looked to be in position to steal a single point in the 10th end for the win but Jones made a pressure packed shot that the sweepers just dragged far enough for a single point to secure the victory.
