Q & A with owner of gore site that featured alleged Magnotta murder video

Mark Marek, the Edmonton owner of a site to which an alleged murder video was posted showing the gruesome dismemberment of suspected killer Luka Rocco Magnotta’s 33 year-old victim Jun Lin, spoke with Global News. Here is what he has to say:

Q: What is your reaction to the number of hits the site has received? Were you surprised? What do you think it says about human nature?

A: (The site) is a reality news website. It reports on real life events which take place around the world. Because much reporting by the mainstream media is biased, censored and often with an agenda, (the site) has enjoyed a lot of popularity right from the start. Obviously, not everyone is a sheep living in a rose tinted fantasy world.

Even though already very popular, when the news about Luka Magnotta broke out, the spike in interest in (the site) was like nothing I’ve seen before. I know from past experiences, though that majority of these new visitors are hypocrites. They hear there was a gruesome video filmed by a disturbed individual and go out of their way to view it. Then when they do, they’re disgusted by what they saw and blame me, the owner of (the site) for showing what this person is really like. These people, aka the sheep, are better off sticking to their gently polished mainstream media where the true face of the world is not shown.

People who peruse (the site) on a daily basis are not sheep. They don’t live with rose colored sunglasses on and it reflects on their thinking and acting. They make the streets safer by holding reckless behaviors back, though the sheep are the many so the world is far from being a safe place.

Q: Have the police been in contact with you? If they have, what did it consist of?

A: The police have not been in contact with me – as of this email.

Q: Do people have to pay any money to watch the videos or is the site totally free?

A: You don’t pay for anything. (The site) is a source of uncensored reality reporting and is available free for everyone willing to learn the truth about the fleshy viruses (Fleshy Virus is a name which originated on (the site) – we found it to be the most fitting moniker for humans). I believe people deserve to know the truth, the real truth, the full truth and the uncensored truth. And they deserve it whether they are rich or poor. This has always been the very principle on which (the site) was build and by strictly adhering to it, it became very successful.

Q:  Do you plan to continue to run the site down the road?

A: Because what I post is raw reality, it ruffles many feathers. I show what really is going on and for that I am hated. I receive death threats on a daily basis and know of various groups who want be dead for exposing the facts behind their actions. I may not be around for much longer, but when they come, I’ll tell them I’m ready to go. There’s little to like about the world infested with fleshy virus. But I will continue documenting uncensored reality for as long as I can. It’s a great service to humanity and it helps to keep our streets and neighborhoods safer.

Q: Are you concerned about your safety? I know you said you receive death threats…has that increased with all this media attention?

A: Good thing about (the site) is, that for as long as you’re open minded and not a sheep, it will boost your morale and spirit. I know my life is in very realistic danger, but I look at people already on (the site) and realize that despite the shortcomings of my current life, there are people who got it much worse.

Strangely enough, though – the death threats remain on long term average despite massive media frenzy. That could mean however that the do-gooders simply can’t contact me because they can’t load any page up on an overloaded server.

Q: You have said people should be grateful for sites like yours…have you had supporters contacting you?

A: All the time. (The site) members are people who are aware. They are not sheep, they do not live in a fantasy. They are respectful members of society whose lives are negatively affected by disrespectful, ignorant, mainstream media following, death threats to (the site) owner sending sheep. (Site) members don’t speed because they’ve seen what speeding does and it’s not pretty. But are affected by the sheep who send me death threats for exposing what other sheep did with their speeding. I could give you a million and one examples like that. Needless to say, there are millions of people who thank me every day for opening their eyes and making them better people.

Q: What made you decide to get in to making a website like this? What is your interest?

A: Unfortunately, I wish I had a cool sounding story for you, such as that I have my room decorated with upside down crosses and walls covered in flake blood and each night I perform dissections on animals by the light of a thousand candles, but it’s not the case. There are real, serious dangers out there and they are being played down by the mainstream media. Instead of showing true reality, media censors news and that makes people ignorant. It affects me, the law abiding, respectful member of society because media fed sheep do not abide by the law and do not respect others.

I have never in my life hit anyone. I have never in my life driven impaired. Never. I do not negatively affect wellbeing of others and find it repulsive that so many people do it and even find it funny. (The site) exists to show the true face of the world and to help people wake up that it’s not all soft and pillowy out there. But doing it the old fashion way simply doesn’t work. You tell people how dangerous it is to speed and what awful things could happen and as soon as you’re done with them, they get in their cars and merrily speed away. But shot them pictures of kids with pancaked heads, with their face ripped off their skulls and spine sticking out of their mouth and something inside of them changes. All of a sudden that picture pops in their mind as soon as the bar on the speedometer gets beyond legal point and they take that foot off the pedal.

(The site) helps to make our streets and neighborhoods safer. Our community helped to identify a potentially very dangerous man and notified the police days before the severed foot was delivered to the Tory HQ. How is that for a service to the society and dedication to keep our streets safer? Can any of the haters say they’ve done this much to make this world a better place? Do any of the people who went out of their way to find gore material but got offended seeing raw reality so they bombed me with death threats and tried to hurt me any way they could realize, that the reason they didn’t receive a phone call from the police that their kid’s decapitated body was on the road outside, could be because a person who used to drive impaired down that road decided to be responsible after playing back some of the images featured on (the site) and took a cab instead?

Q: You said you have removed the video in question. Do you plan to put it back up on the site down the road?

A: I can’t predict what will go down in the future. I’m human (fleshy virus – props to (site) member Don aka Rotten Stench for being the originator of the name), I respond to the outside stimuli the same way you do. I’m pretty sure something will happen which will lead me down the right path in determining the most appropriate course of action in this regard. I will do what shows to be the right thing to do.

Q: I do understand your explanation for why you decided to start this website and its benefits to society in showing us what kind of people are out there… But what about the victims family? What do you say to them?

A:This question is very “mainstream media”. I can appreciate that the sheep are the target audience of the mainstream media which is likely why you’d ask it in the first place.

The question is fundamentally based on a speculation that the family will feel a certain way (in this case, the way the sheep assume normal). But that’s not always the case. Case in point – there are still people out there left who care. Nothing can bring the family’s son back now. This is done. Whether the video is posted or not will change nothing on the fact that their son is gone. But they can, as many people do, choose to have his memory used to possibly prevent this from happening again in the future.

The fact that I published the video in the first place helped a great deal. We identified the perpetrator days before the dismembered parts were delivered to the political parties. As soon as we had the perp nailed and knew he was a Canadian, some of the (site) members, including a long time (site) member who’s a lawyer, reported it to the Toronto police. The police, unfortunately, did not find the information credible and brushed it off maintaining that it’s surely a fake video. Had they acted upon the report, the perp may have been caught while still in the apartment in Montreal, packing up his parcel intended for Ottawa.

If YOU were a victim’s family member, would you not be thankful for what (the site) community did for him? None of us knew who the victim was and as such we had no emotional connections with him yet we still did what we always do – the right thing, to help keep the neighborhoods safer. I know that no good deed goes unpunished, but let’s not so readily assume that the victim’s family would not want to have the horrific death of their son be used to potentially prevent other such events from happening.

(Site) members took time off their day to help the victim and potential future victims by identifying the perpetrator and reporting it to the police. If public, police or other do-gooders make it to backfire, maybe next time, when it’s their kid whose belly is being stabbed with an ice pick, we won’t bother.

Still, should a proven family member approach me with a request to remove the video, I would. (Yhe site) exists to make the world a better place, not worse. Though I can tell you right now that I receive contributions from people daily. Bad things happened to them and they want me to post it on (the site) so others can learn and/or take steps to ensure it doesn’t happen to them. Yes, some people actually care. They are the ones who support (the site). Let’s not so hastily assume the victim’s family is not like that.
