The Winnipeg Jets will be without the services of defenceman Mark Stuart for the next four to six weeks.
After practice on Monday in Raleigh, North Carolina Jets head coach Paul Maurice said Stuart suffered a broken hand in the Jets victory over the Edmonton Oilers.

“He had a fairly significant break in his hand,” Maurice told Jets-TV. “That’s four to six weeks he’s out. We knew he had gotten hurt, didn’t feel he needed an x-ray. Somehow played the game that he played which is as good as a game as he’s played in a number of weeks. I don’t know how he did it.”
Stuart was injured in the first period when he blocked a shot but played the rest of the game anyway.
“Playing on the injury that he played on is quite a feat,” Maurice said.
Adam Pardy is expected to replace Stuart in the lineup when the Jets face the Carolina Hurricanes on Tuesday.
Adam Lowry also missed practice but Maurice expects him to play on Tuesday.
