WINNIPEG — Two people have been arrested for the murder of 39-year-old Mavis Ducharme.
Kashtin Flett and Nikina Houle, both 23, have been arrested and remain in custody.

The investigation revealed the two suspects forced their way into the victim’s home and assaulted Ducharme and another person. Ducharme was able to get out of the home and make her way to another residence. The two suspects caught up with her and she was assaulted again.
Police were called to the 500 block of Stella Ave at approximately 5 a.m. and found Ducharme in critical condition. She later died in hospital.
Kashtin Flett has been charged with second degree murder, break and enter and assault. Nikina Houle faces manslaughter, break and enter and assault charges.
They have been been detained in custody.
