WINNIPEG – Injured goalie Ondrej Pavelec is not expected to return to the Winnipeg Jets lineup until after the all-star break, but he is once again facing shots.

Pavelec came out on the ice after practice on Wednesday to take another step in his rehab. He’s been out since November 21 with a knee injury.

“If he’s strong again tomorrow we’ll just augment his time until he’s back out on the ice taking full shots with the team.” Head Coach Paul Maurice said. “By the time he’s fully cleared from the staff, then he’s got to get back into game prep and that’s not a one-day event for a goalie.”

Injured forwards Mark Scheifele and Drew Stafford also skated on Wednesday but neither will play against the Nashville Predators on Thursday.

Adam Lowry did not skate with the rest of his injured teammates.
