UPDATE: Matthew Perry has confirmed that he will not be attending the reunion special. The five remaining Friends are still going to be in attendance.
It’s been a while since TV audiences have seen the original cast of ’90s – ’00s dramedy Friends all together in one space.
The main cast members — Jennifer Aniston, Matt Leblanc, Matthew Perry, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow and David Schwimmer — have all gone on to various TV shows and movies to varying degrees of success, but arguably, they’re most known for their run on the 10-season show.
Now, audiences will be able to relive the glory. NBC announced that they’ll be broadcasting a two-hour special featuring the cast reunions of some of the biggest shows ever to grace the small screen, in honour of veteran sitcom director James Burrows. Burrows recently helmed his 1000th episode, and NBC is seeking to pay tribute to his work over the years.

Leblanc, who played the lovable buffoon Joey on Friends, tweeted his excitement about the event.
Aside from the Friends cast, TV Line is reporting that casts from Taxi, Cheers, Frasier and Will & Grace will also be appearing. The stars of current Burrows programs, including The Big Bang Theory and Mike & Molly, will also appear.
The special is slated to tape later this month and air on Sunday, Feb. 21 at 9 p.m. ET.
