WINNIPEG — Winnipegger Kevin Clark will be among those wearing the maple leaf at the 2015 Spengler Cup in Davos, Switzerland.
A total of 23 players were chosen to represent Canada at the annual invitational hockey tournament. Clark has 10 goals and 15 assists in 24 games this season with the SCL Langnau Tigers of Switzerland’s National League A. He previously played for the Manitoba Moose from 2009 to 2011 and the MJHL’s Winnipeg South Blues from 2003 to 2006.
Joining Clark on Team Canada are former Moose goalie Drew MacIntyre and ex-Brandon Wheat Kings defenceman Keith Aulie.
The Canadians have captured the Spengler Cup 12 times since first taking part in 1984. Their last championship victory was back in 2012.
Canada opens the Spengler Cup on Boxing Day against the KHL’s Avtomobilist Yekaterinburg. The tournament title will be handed out on December 31.
