Bad news for Aladdin and Jasmine’s hometown: a recent poll has found that 30 per cent of Republicans support bombing the fictional Disney city.

A further 57 per cent of respondents were unsure, with only 13 per cent saying they oppose bombing Agrabah, a place which 100 per cent does not exist.

The poll, conducted by Public Policy Polling, started out on a straightforward note, asking respondents who they would support for the GOP nomination.

The numbers were not a huge surprise, with Trump taking a strong lead with 34 per cent support. Ted Cruz placed second with 18 per cent, next Marco Rubio with 13 per cent and Jeb Bush with 7 per cent.

Did “thousands of Arabs in New Jersey cheered when the World Trade Center collapsed on 9/11”? More than a third of respondents, 36 per cent, agreed that’s true. Just about as many, 35 per cent, said they don’t believe that’s true, and 29 per cent were unsure.

To the question of whether mosques should be shut down in the U.S. there was 28 per cent support; 26 per cent agreed that Islam should be illegal in the U.S. and 46 per cent said they support a national database of Muslims in the United States.

The poll was conducted Dec. 16 and 17. A total of 532 Republican primary voters were surveyed.
