A week after Health Canada issued a warning that certain seasonal lights manufactured by Taizhou Hongpeng Colour Lanterns “may pose a serious safety risk,” Canadian Tire has formally recalled 12 products made by the company.

The affected products were sold at Canadian Tire stores under the “Holiday Collection” brand between Aug. 1, 2015 and Nov. 30, 2015 and include both indoor and outdoor lights. Canadian Tire has not received any reports of injuries or incidents but says the lights may “pose a fire and shock hazard.”
