DUTCH SETTLEMENT, N.S. – A two-vehicle collision on Highway 277 in Dutch Settlement outside Halifax has sent one person to hospital.

RCMP were called to the crash just before 10 a.m. on Sunday morning.

Police say the car with two occupants collided head-on with an SUV with one occupant.

One person was injured and transported to hospital.

“It’s fairly bad and again I don’t know to what degree injuries are,” said RCMP Const. Derek Isenor at the scene.

The section of Highway 277 just west of Grono Road will remain closed until 7 p.m. as police investigate the cause of the crash.
