Across the country, many Canadians will mark Remembrance Day on November 11 by attending ceremonies to pay tribute to veterans and active soldiers.
Below is a list of some locations where Remembrance Day ceremonies will take place throughout the Okanagan and Shuswap:

South Okanagan
Osoyoos:
Sonora Centre, 8505 68 Ave

Oliver:
Community Centre, 6395 Park Drive
The service will begin at 9:45 a.m. followed by the parade to the Cenotaph at 10:40a.m. The Cenotaph service with the wreath laying ceremony begins at 11 a.m. with the march back to the Legion Hall scheduled for 11:40a.m. The public is invited back to the Legion Hall following the ceremony for refreshments. There will be a free family movie at the local family theatre at 1 p.m.

Memorial Park, Main Street and 7 Avenue
The parade will leave the Legion branch at 510 Veterans Way at 10:45 a.m. After the ceremony, everyone is invited to the Legion branch for a hot lunch and refreshments.

The parade will begin at 10 a.m. to the Legion for the 11 a.m. Cenotaph service and the laying of wreaths. Everyone is invited to the Legion Branch afterwards for refreshments.

The parade starts at 10 a.m. at the Curling Rink, followed by the 10:30 a.m. ceremony.
Summerland:
Memorial Park
The ceremony begins at 11 a.m.

Peachland:
Peachland Community Centre, 4450 6 Street
Everyone is invited to the Peachland Legion on 2 Street following ceremony where refreshments will be served.
West Kelowna:
Royal LePage Place, 2760 Cameron Road
The parade will begin at 10 a.m., followed by the ceremony at 11 a.m.

City Park Cenotaph
A parade and the Colour Party will march from Stuart Park along Abbott Street to City Park for the ceremony. A period of social remembrance will be held in the Parkinson Recreation Centre, 1800 Parkinson Way from 12 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Rutland:
Lions Park Cenotaph
There will be ceremony followed by a parade starting at 10:30 a.m. from the Unit Clubhouse parking lot at 270 Dougall Road North to Gray Road and into the park. There will then be an Open House reception at the Unit Clubhouse.

George Elliot Secondary School, 10241 Bottom Wood Lake Road
A Public Open House will be held at the Legion Branch, 15712 Oyama Road following the ceremony. An ASL interpreter will be provided for the ceremony.
North Okanagan
Vernon:
Kal Tire Place, 3445 43 Avenue
The ceremony begins at 9:30 a.m. followed by lunch and refreshments at the Legion Branch at 5101 25 Avenue.
