Suspects wanted in armed robbery of Calgary gas station

CALGARY – Police have released surveillance photos of two men thought to be involved in an armed robbery in the community of Vista Heights last Friday.

Emergency crews were called to a Shell gas station in the 1500 block of 32 Avenue N.E. at around 8:15 p.m. on Oct. 16.

Police said the clerk was threatened with a knife by a suspect who had covered his face with a ski mask. He demanded money from the till and took an undisclosed amount of cash and cigarette packages before running off.

Investigators said the man had an accomplice who stood at the cash desk while the robbery was taking place.

The first suspect is described as being between 25 and 40-years-old and clean shaven. He was wearing a black toque, a black ski mask, red sweater, dark blue jeans and runners.

The second man is described as a 30-years-old, 6 feet tall and clean shaven. Police say he was wearing a black baseball hat and black hoodie with front pockets, black pants and black runners.

Anyone with information about the identity of these men is asked to call police or contact Crime Stoppers.
