Sudden death investigation upgraded to homicide in Saskatoon

SASKATOON – A sudden death investigation has been upgraded to a homicide in Saskatoon after a 25-year-old man was found dead in the Grosvenor Park neighbourhood on Wednesday. Following an autopsy, investigators have determined that the victim died as the result of foul play and the incident was not random in nature.

His name is not being released at the request of family members.

On Wednesday afternoon, police and MD Ambulance paramedics were called to a home in the 300-block of Garrison Crescent. Witnesses reported hearing gunshots and the victim was found dead at the scene.

Members of the major crime unit are continuing to investigate.
