Residents of Bangkok, Thailand, got a surprise Monday morning as a bright fireball lit up the sky.

The meteor was captured by several dashboard cameras around 8:45 a.m. local time while the sun was shining brightly. The fireball seen in the video appeared to be moving extremely quickly and almost straight down.

Daytime fireballs are rare, as most meteors that enter our atmosphere aren’t bright enough to outshine the sun.
